Samuel Ilebiyi was born in Ibadan City, Oyo State, Nigeria but now lives and works in Serrekunda the Gambia. Since finishing his academic studies in fine arts & puppetry he has taught and worked as a self employed painter. He has exhibited his works in a number of galleries especially in the West African countries of Nigeria and the Gambia. Samuel Ilebiyi's work is a deep reflection of his own cultural heritage as a West African as well as his keen interest in the study of nature. His also fond of sports, music and adventures
